It has been awhile since I have blogged, so I just wanted to give an update:
I weighed in yesterday for Weightless Wednesday and I am now 191.2 pounds:) Honestly? It is mostly from eating healthy. I haven't been working out very much, and if I have it is not a hard workout. Since I am home for break I am making my own food like egg whites and fruit for breakfast, chicken tacos for lunch, and last night I made homemade pizza with spinach, black olives, jalepeƱos, and grilled chicken for dinner. It has been about making healthy meal and snack choices and so far, so good.
It has taken a long time to even lose 30 pounds, but when I look at the 16 more pounds I want to lose by the end of May, it doesn't seem so bad!
The reason for this particular blog is that I wanted to talk about drinking. Alcohol (and eating terribly) is the major reason that I gained so much weight. I didn't realize the amount of calories alcohol has it in not to mention the food you consume while intoxicated. And it sneaks up on you. Looking back at pictures from my junior year in high school, it's incredible how lean I am. Then slowly from my senior year into my first year in college, it got out of control. Oh here, let me show you.
