Today for the challenge was Meatless Monday
I have figured out that around 1200-1400 calories is where I need to be. I use the MyFitnessPal app to keep track of calories. I would recommend this app to anyone, it's great!
This is literally everything I have eaten today...
>>Breakfast
Slim fast shake with soy milk: 140 cal
1 medium banana: 114 cal>>Snack
55 (1 serving size) gold fish: 140 cal>>Lunch
Cheddar Potatoes with Broccoli Lean Cuisine: 210 cal
1 piece of watermelon: 33 cal-ISH>>Snack
1 pickle: 5 cal
11 almonds: 120 cal
1 cup cut strawberries: 49 cal
1 bite of velveeta shells and cheese: 72 cal-ISH
4 pieces of cantaloup: 45 cal-ISH>>Dinner
3/4 cup of honey nut cheerios with milk: 232 calTOTAL CALORIES CONSUMED TODAY: 1,160
When I felt hungry, I ate, but it wasn't like a bag of chips like I normally would have grabbed.
I downloaded this app on my smart phone that really helped figure out what is good for you and what isn't: "Fooducate." It will tell you which foods are artificial, or loaded with hidden ingredients that are bad for you.
As for my exercise, could have been more successful, but then again, I could have sat on the couch all night.
>>Swam 10 laps
>>Wall sits 3x for two minutes each
>>Barbell lifts 12 reps 3x

>>Stretching for splits
>>100+ crunches
>>Jogged 1 mile in 12:56 avg.5mph (Definitely not proud of how long it took me, but I did it without feeling like I was dying, so I think that's a plus)
If you're reading this, and you're thinking "she shouldn't be doing that" I would appreciate feedback. I'm a noob to this whole eating right, exercising right kind of lifestyle, so I don't really know what I'm doing.
This is my first stepping stone to my journey: recognizing the problem. At 223 pounds, I am not okay with my body so I'm initiating change. My goal is to have lost 25 pounds by the end of August, so wish me luck!
