Getting Up At The Crack of Dawn Never Felt SO Good

Today was my first class in getting ready for the Hog Days 4 mile run. Although I was late (only missed out on the warm up) it went exceptionally well. I never knew that I could feel this good waking up at 5am!
It wasn't too challenging, but I know we're going to work our way up. We went 1.22 miles around town today jogging for 60s and walking 90s. It felt awesome! I broke a sweat but wasn't out of breath or anything.
After I was done, I decided I wasn't done. I hopped on the treadmill and instead of doing a walk, jog interval mile...I did a jog, sprint interval mile. Starting at 4.5 mph going up to 6.5 mph  After that, I swam 8 laps. I feel so awake and refreshed!

So far I've had a Balance Gold cookie dough protein bar, and a banana. Now off to my internship, swimming lessons, then Zumba! Hooray for Cardio Day & Tiny Tuesday! ♡

I think I almost died! I was so hungry I almost keeled over right then. It was the kind of hungry where I get cranky, and lose sight of the fact that I am trying to eat healthy. NORMALLY when I get that hungry I let my cravings take over, and chinese was sounding really good today. Instead, I remembered how hard I worked this morning and I went next door to subway. Being that hungry I normally would have chowed down on a footlong, but it's tiny tuesday so I couldn't do that either. 6inch on italian herbs and cheese, ham, american cheese, and black olives toasted with avocado, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and honey mustard. I added some apples (as always) and tried the greek yogurt parfait. Now I'm full, and I don't feel terribly full, or disgusted with myself that I overate. 
What a great feeling! 
My butt muscles hurt soooo good!

Today was the most productive day out of the whole summer. After my Subway and boyfriend time, I had about an hour to kill before swim lessons started..so I took a little snooze in my car. Then after swim lessons, I ate my dinner (a healthy choice Cajun style chicken and shrimp) and it was off to Zumba. I feel absolutely fabulous and invincible today!

I thought tomorrow I was going to get up, drive to the gym, drive to my internship, then back to the Y? No, gas is expensive. Instead I'm going to try running outside until my little heart is content then doing a Nike Training Club workout. Those are intense! I can never finish one...but I'm going to tomorrow.

I'm excited about the weigh in tomorrow because I'm also doing measurements. I don't expect to have dropped a ton of weight or inches...but I love seeing progress no matter how small. Cross your fingers for me and I'll post tomorrow after my work out!
