SO here is the thing:
I am not a perfect person.
I do not have perfect eating habits.
I do not exercise every single day.
I often cave in and eat the cookie.
I do not claim to know everything about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, but I try. I recognize when I am making mistakes and when I am doing something that works.
THIS, is not working. So what do I do?
1. I identify the problem.
Problems:
My motivation is lacking.
I seem to have a careless attitude about eating unhealthy foods.
I make excuses rather than getting in a good workout.
I make poor food choices.
I'm not committed.
I forget what I'm working towards and why I began working in the first place.
2. I get help as to how I can fix the problems, so I resort back to my diet bible: Daphne Oz's The Dorm Room Diet.
Her first step is to Get Inspired. Number 2? Get Informed. After that, Get Started. Get A Grip, Get Prepared, Get Moving, Get Your Vitamins, Get Happy, Get Conscious, and finally, Get Cooking.
So it's not that I'm starting over exactly, I'm just picking up where I left off. I'm going to re-read the highlights of this book, and if you haven't read it and want to change your lifestyle, it's a great starting point.
I've been concentrating on lifting a lot here lately, and while strength training is imperative to getting a hot bod, I think I'm going to focus a lot on cardio [FOR NOW]. I want to lose a bit more weight before I can tone and tighten.
I'm going to be going back to school soon, and that's a good enough reason as any to readopt my cleaning eating and exercising habits. Sometimes when things get monotonous, all you need is a little change♥
Today is Friday July 25th. And things will change starting now.
For breakfast I woke up and cooked 3 egg whites sprinkled with a little cheese, I cooked 4 pieces of turkey bacon, had two pieces of toast with sugar free jam, and had a glass of milk to top it off. 498 calories.
